Lenten Devotional 2021 - Day Twenty-Eight

MY PRAYER

As we conclude this devotional week and our journey through Psalm 19, Let Us continue to abide under the Lord’s shadow, and take our rest in God’s presence. Let Us pray severally in our secret place: and Let Us unite hearts and voices as we pray one for another.

Lord God you are merciful. You have been gracious unto us. You have set all things in order. Everything you knew we would need; you, Lord God, have already provided. Before you brought anything into being, you thought of us. Our every care and every concern, you worked out its answer in eternity to meet our needs in time. Just as you synchronized the movements of every heavenly body to proceed on its appointed course without colliding into another, you have made it possible for each of us to journey on our life’s path meeting, harmonizing, and continuing in the way that you have determined for each of us, while being a help and a blessing one to another.

Lord, I thank you for your word, may it live eternally in my heart, and be a compass for my way. Lord thank you for your grace, may that which you have and continue to extend to me, be the essence of what I extend and share with others. Lord thank you for your forgiveness, for every act I have committed with my hands and ideation I have pondered in my heart that prevented one of your children-to-be from encountering you or hindered them from experiencing your love. Lord God, thank you for every measure of mercy and every ounce of strength that has enabled me to rise-up each morning and you faithfully restore to me as I lay down to rest at night. And, Lord God, whatever I have failed to pray, fail not to grant it.

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer," my help and my hope, my everything and my All-in-all. Amen… amen… amen!
